Class of 2019 Click here for Zion’s complete Athletic.net profile: https://www.athletic.net/TrackAndField/Athlete.aspx?AID=10245609#/L0 I run for Spokane Speed Academy and Lewis and Clark High School. I run on the 4x100 relay and run the 200 as well as both long jump and triple jump. I was born Seattle, Washington to two track coaches. I was basically raised in a track family. Although I participated in track when I was young, and qualified for Nationals many times, I never really fell in love with track until joining SSA. After freshman year, I went to Nationals and my perspective on track changed. I realized how far I was from being great. I learned a new passion for the sport and after indoor winter track, I came back to sophomore high school track a greater athlete. My freshman year I took 7th in long jump and 6th in triple jump at J.V. districts. After training alongside the state’s best athletes with SSA, I came back one of the best on my high school team. I was put on the varsity 4x100 and ran the open 200 as well as both horizontal jumps. I often scored highly for my team. I qualified for both districts and regionals, as well as made it on the podium for both. This summer I have been battling through a hamstring injury, but I plan to make a full recovery and dominate the triple jump and the 4x100 relay. I hope to become All-American and become a state competitor for high school my junior year. |
