Class of 2019 Click here for William's Club Athletic.net profile: https://www.athletic.net/TrackAndField/Athlete.aspx?AID=15672641 I played many sports growing up, such as, football, wrestling, men’s volleyball, and track. Freshmen year when I first stepped onto a track it ignited a passion that would drive me for the next four years. I started to run hurdles my sophomore year, because my coaches saw that I was tall and had long legs. I’ve continued to run hurdles throughout high school, despite having limited access to a track. Track has taught me many lessons from perseverance when I broke my leg junior year, to the importance of a work ethic, and to always strive to become better in everything I do. During track I competed in the 110m hurdles, 300m hurdles, 200m, and multiple relays. I’ve competed in both hurdle races at state since sophomore year and placed 2nd in the 4x4 my sophomore year. Senior year I placed 2nd in the 300m hurdles, 5th in the 200m, 4th in the 4x1, and won state in the 110m hurdles. I was also able to set school records in the 110s, 300s, 4x4, and 4x2. At the end of the state this year, I realized I wanted another opportunity to compete and decided to join SSA. SSA has been an amazing opportunity, and I’ve been incredibly blessed with great coaches and teammates. Track has been a huge part of my life and I hope to continue my career as I go to college. |
