Track, however, is where I found my passion. I work hard on and off of the track, and thus finished my junior year of high school with an accumulative 3.89 GPA. As a running start student at Eastern Washington University, I also finished my freshman year of college by making the dean’s list for all 3 quarters. Being a student- athlete is hard, but very much so worth the challenge. In relations to track and field, my work ethic is consistent with my academics. Months in the weight room and hard training led me to a 12.12 PR and 3rd place at the state championship in the 100m; as well as a 25.46 PR in the 200m, finishing 2nd at state in 2019. My league (Great Northern League) voted me as the All League MVP, 1st team All League for the 100m, as well as the 200m. My team too nominated me as the girls team MVP as well as Most Inspirational. Carrying my season into this summer club has so far led to my 4x1 to claiming the regional 1st place title and the 5th place title in the 4x4, qualifying for the national Junior Olympics. I am registered through the NCAA Clearing House, ID # to be provided upon request. Track & Field has taught me patience, perseverance, as well as the importance of community in which I will appreciate for a lifetime. |
