My parents (Jason and Sheri) are both graduates of the United States Air Force Academy and served as officers in the USAF.  After living abroad, many moves and time apart while they supported Operation Enduring Freedom-Philippines, Operation Enduring Freedom (Afghanistan) and Operation Iraqi Freedom, they both transitioned to the USAF Reserve to provide more family stability for me and my younger brothers (Dylan and Brent).  We settled long-term in Cheney, Washington where I enjoy being active in school, athletics and the community.

I think being well-rounded is very important and I always strive to be the best possible in any activity.  I like to take leadership roles so I can make positive changes that help others.  I maintained a 4.0 GPA throughout middle school while taking advanced classes as part of my school’s Highly Capable Program and look forward to continuing my academic success in high school.  While in middle school I participated on varsity squads in Cross Country, Volleyball, Basketball and Track & Field.  Track is my favorite sport and I plan on focusing on Track & Field (Indoor and Outdoor) and Cross Country in high school.  Because I am currently only 5’ 2” and weigh 106 pounds, I like that track and field is less dependent on physical size and more about doing well based on hard work.  I enjoy a variety of events but my favorites are Sprints 200-800m and the High Jump.  I am also looking forward to competing in my first Heptathlon and would like to focus on combined events as well in the future.  For other extracurricular activities, I am a member of National Junior Honor Society, was elected and served as ASB Treasurer and Secretary and I am a member of the Cheney Youth Commission (appointed by the Mayor), which provides, promotes and coordinates activities for the young people in my hometown.

I really enjoy being a part of Spokane Speed Academy where we all work to make each other better.  I hope to continually improve and qualify for USATF Junior Olympic Nationals.  By focusing on academics, athletics and community service, I hope to earn a combination of academic, athletic and other scholarships which will make attending a top-rated college or university possible.
