She was a member of the Mentoring and Ambassador teams. She was also instrumental in the school’s focus on diversity and equity. Ivy will be attending Spokane’s first public charter school, Innovation High, where she will be the school’s first Vice President. Only a few years ago Ivy prayed that something would happen to her so she wouldn’t have to run a lap around the track in P.E. She started running track the summer of 8th grade and fell in love with it! In Ivy’s first meet, she qualified for regionals in the 100, and as part of the 4x1 team. She loves how running tests her strength both physically and mentally. Whenever she runs, her mind goes blank and all she sees is the finish line. Ivy is artistic and loves everything from photography to teaching herself how to play the ukulele. She is very excited about what this year will hold in both her education and on the track and field. Inspired to go to either Stanford, Harvard or University of Oregon, Ivy wants to run track and study emergency medicine. |
