Born in Seattle, WA, Garrett Hagel [DOB 03/16/2001] will be a sophomore at Cheney High School in Cheney, WA.
I live in Cheney with my parents, Shane and Lynette, and my four brothers. All of my brothers are also athletes in different sports. My younger brother, Seth, won first place in shot put this year at Middle School Districts. I played baseball in elementary school and began competing in track and field in 7th grade at Cheney Middle School. As a freshman, I made the varsity football team at Cheney High, and football has become my favorite sport. Cheney High School has an amazing track team and I am proud to be a part of it. This year, I competed at Districts in the 100m and 200m. My favorite events are the relays because they are team oriented. I hope to be on our 4x100 team when it places first at State next year. Going to Nationals is important for me because of the opportunity to compete against athletes at the highest level. Improving in sprinting will also benefit me in football. I hope to attend the University of Utah on a football scholarship and study physical therapy or sports psychology. |
