Elijah spent his Freshman year at Blue Ridge School in George, VA, where he qualified for the independent schools state meet. He then ran unattached in his first USATF sanctioned meet in Spokane, where he saw the success of Spokane Speed Academy and immediately decided to join. After his sophomore year he decided to enroll at Avon Old Farms where he was the New England Prep League 100m champion. He also competed in the New Balance Indoor Championships at the Armory in New York City.

In three years with the Spokane Speed Academy, Elijah has qualified for USATF Nationals all three years. He earned All-American status with his 4 x 100 relay team in 2018 (40.8). He was a semi-finalist in the 100m (10.86). His personal bests in the 100m are 10.78 (FAT) and 10.79 (FAT).

As a student Elijah has captained varsity track teams at both high schools he has attended. He has won a citizenship award and is well respected as a monitor in his dormitory. As an eighth grader, Elijah participated in a school service trip to Tanzania. During an urban immersion experience sponsored by Blue Ridge School, he volunteered at a homeless shelter in Washington D.C. Summer jobs have included lifeguarding and the occasional lawn care.

Elijah has one younger sister, Ava, who attends Miss Porters School in Farmington, CT. During his free time he enjoys almost all types of recreational sports in addition to spending time with family and friends.
