Oregon native Anna Rodgers [DOB 02.26.2000] was an accomplished alpine skier and soccer player before beginning her track career in 7th grade. She quickly became Spokane’s girls to beat in the 100 and 200 meter sprints and Long Jump, and broke a 29-year record middle school record in the 200 meters [26.00 seconds].

Dubbed Lewis & Clark High School’s “freshman track phenomenon,” Anna was the Greater Spokane League’s 100 and 200 meter sprints and Long Jump champion. She was State High School 4A champion in the 100 meter sprint, second in the Long Jump, third in the 200 meter sprint – and ran the third leg of the State champion 4x200 meter relay team.

Although mononucleosis, plantar fasciitis and a sore hip limited Anna’s performance during her sophomore season, she was the GSL’s champion in the 100 meter spring, 4x100 meter relay and Long Jump, and finished second in Long Jump at the State 4A High School championships.

Anna has set aggressive goals for sprints, relays and Long Jump in her junior and senior seasons, and aspires to compete for a Division I college team. (A true student-athlete, Anna earned a 3.5 g.p.a. as a sophomore and is a National Honor Society member.)
