Already a dancer, alpine skier and accomplished soccer player, Anna first ran track in 7th grade at Sacajawea Middle School where she quickly became the girl to beat in the 100 and 200 meter sprints and Long Jump. Anna was undefeated in all middle school races, and broke a 29-year Spokane Middle School record in the 200 meters [26.00 seconds]. As a freshman at Spokane’s Lewis & Clark High School, Anna was the State High School 4A Champion in the 100 meter sprint, finished 2nd in the Long Jump and 3rd in the 200 meter sprint, and ran the 3rd leg on LC’s Championship 4x200 meter relay team – and earned Junior Olympics All American status in the Long Jump. Anna competed through injuries and illness during her sophomore and junior seasons, and this spring ran a PR in the 100 meter sprint (11.9) and high school PR in the Long Jump (19’ 1.75”). In addition to track, Anna is a three-year letter earner in Varsity Soccer. She loves competing with her teammates, coaching younger athletes, and giving Coach Jackson as many grey hairs as possible! |
